Intensive Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were hurt while local people in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to local officials.

Russian forces has increased strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to restore power.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area endured intense attacks during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and three other people were injured.

The strikes succeed nights of bombing campaigns in the area, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to identify.

Government officials told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were bracing for more assaults.
